Mark Finnerty – Head Trainer
Mark is a prolific Irish show jumper. His passion for horses has been instilled in him from an early age. Mark has had tremendous success right through his youth career, training under Ian Fearon and his father, Rory. Some achievements from this time are his Senior Nations Cup debut in 2024, riding for Youth Nations Cup teams, and earning back-to-back Young Rider Champion titles at the 5* Dublin Horse Show.
Mark moved first to Holland where he trained under Hans Horn, who has been team Olympic trainer of Holland, Israel, Italy, and Caroline Mueller. He later furthered his experience in Oldenburg, Germany, to work in Gestüt Sprehe and Leo König Sport Horses, where he honed his craft producing breeding stallions and competition horses to the highest level. During his time there, he was also awarded the prestigious Golden Riding Badge for tremendous success in the sport. Mark’s passion and skills aren’t just in the competition arena, boasting a wealth of knowledge to pass on to students, helping them progress and achieve their dreams.
